Personal Trainer Aarhus

Most people do not need a harder workout.

They need a smarter one.

If you’ve tried gym memberships, fitness classes, online programmes or starting and stopping countless routines, you are not alone. Many people know they should move more, build strength, improve mobility or lose weight, but struggle to find a form of exercise that feels sustainable.

At SINK Reformer in Aarhus Ø, we offer a different approach to personal training.

Through private reformer Pilates and movement coaching, we help people build strength, improve mobility, move with more confidence and create long-term habits that fit into real life.

Whether your goal is to feel stronger, improve your posture, return to exercise after a break or simply move better, our one-to-one coaching sessions are tailored entirely to you.

A Different Approach to Personal Training

When most people think about personal training, they picture crowded gyms, intimidating equipment and high-intensity workouts.

For some people that works.

For many others, it doesn’t.

At SINK, personal training starts with understanding how your body moves today and where you want to be in the future.

We combine the precision of reformer Pilates with strength, mobility and movement coaching to create a programme designed around your goals.

Sessions are suitable for complete beginners, experienced exercisers and everyone in between.

Our clients include office workers, runners, cyclists, new parents, busy professionals , fitness enthusiasts, and people returning to exercise after time away.

Why Traditional Personal Training Doesn’t Work For Everyone

Many training programmes focus entirely on burning calories or pushing harder.

The problem is that more intensity is not always the answer.

If you struggle with stiffness, poor mobility, recurring aches, poor posture or a lack of confidence in the gym, traditional training can feel overwhelming.

Before building fitness, many people first need to build a foundation.

That foundation includes:

  • Strength

  • Mobility

  • Balance

  • Coordination

  • Confidence

  • Consistency

This is where reformer Pilates excels.

The reformer provides support where you need it and challenge where you need it, making it one of the most effective tools for developing strength and movement quality simultaneously.

Who Personal Training Is For

Our private coaching sessions are designed for people who want more guidance, more accountability and a programme tailored specifically to them.

You may benefit from private coaching if you:

  • Feel intimidated by traditional gyms

  • Want to improve strength without high-impact exercise

  • Spend long hours sitting at a desk

  • Want to improve posture and mobility

  • Are training for a running or cycling event

  • Are returning to exercise after a break

  • Want to build confidence before joining group classes

  • Want a personalised programme rather than a one-size-fits-all workout

No previous Pilates experience is required.

Your Initial Assessment & First Session

Every coaching journey starts with an Initial Assessment & First Session. We'll discuss your goals, assess how you move and guide you through your first private reformer session before creating a personalised plan.

This session gives us the opportunity to understand your goals, movement history and current fitness level.

During your consultation we may assess:

  • Movement quality

  • Mobility

  • Balance

  • Posture

  • Training history

  • Lifestyle factors

  • Personal goals

From there, we create a plan tailored specifically to you.

For some clients that means weekly private sessions.

For others it means a combination of private coaching and group reformer classes.

The goal is always the same: helping you move better, feel stronger and build a sustainable routine.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Reformer Pilates?

Reformer Pilates is a form of exercise performed on a specialised machine called a reformer. Using adjustable spring resistance, the reformer helps develop strength, mobility, balance and control through low-impact movement.

Unlike many traditional workouts, reformer Pilates can be adapted for complete beginners, experienced exercisers and people returning to movement after a break.

Is reformer Pilates personal training suitable for beginners?

Yes. Many of our private coaching clients are completely new to reformer Pilates.

How often should I train?

This depends on your goals, schedule and current activity level. We will discuss this during your consultation.

Is personal training worth it?

For many people, personalised coaching helps them progress faster than training alone. A private session provides expert guidance, accountability and a programme tailored specifically to your goals and experience level.

Is reformer Pilates a good alternative to gym training?

For many people, yes. Reformer Pilates combines strength, mobility, control and coordination in a way that is difficult to achieve through traditional gym workouts alone.

Do I need to be fit before starting?
